Zennkai Presents, Cut Out The Fires!

Reeva from our Granville location tells us how this whole idea came about...
"Rachelle from the Zennkai Downtown Location sparked the idea of a Cutathon months ago and right away we were on board! We were trying to think of the perfect charity or fundraiser to give all the proceeds to. A light bulb came to Rachelle again, she brought up BC Wild Fires. We all know that every year as much as we are excited to have a beautiful hot summer in BC, it can also be a bit scary as wild fires have been reoccurring more and more. Wild fires can happen anytime at home, the back country and a larger scale fire which pose a threat to public safety. According to statistics 42.5% are caused by people, in having this event, we hope to bring more knowledge and awareness as well to help prevent and protect our Forest. We hope to see some of our local firefighters and fire fighters across the lower mainland to participate and of course the public."
We couldn't agree more with Reeva's statement. It's sad to say that humans are in fact 42.5% of the forest fire cause. We are better than this and we can make our future summers fire free with just a little help from you guys. Our viewers, readers, clients and customers - We can all make a change so long as we work together.
