7 Tips To Healthier Summer Hair
1. Get A Trim
Want to maintain the health of your hair and grow it longer? Go for a trim! Believe it or not, going for a trim at least every four to six weeks helps growth by cutting those damaged and split ends.
2. Use Heat/UV Protection
As we know, UV rays can do a number on our hair. In fact any type of heat like our styling tools for example, can really do some damage. I suggest trying AG's Firewall heat protection spray.
3. Wash Your Hair Less
For some, this may be old news. But for those who don't know, washing your hair less often can actually help in healither hair. How might you ask? As you extend the time between washes, your hair will gradually produce less and less oil as you are no longer stripping your strands of the natural and essential oils your scalp produces. Yes to natural oils and yes to washing your hair less! Try this dry shampoo in between washes.
4. Cover Up
If you're the type of person who doesn't want to fuss around too much with products, cover up! Buy a cute sun hat, style your hair with a cute scarf. Just make sure your hair is hiding from the sun and you're good to go!
5. Use A Mask
Let's say none of these tips are doing it for you and your hair is just craving hydration! Trust me when I say you will fall in love with the olaplex no.3 treatment. The whole line is for re-bonding, repairing and strengthening! I know bottle says to leave on for about 10 minutes... but here's a little tip! Use the olaplex no.3 treatment overnight on damp hair. Rinse out with shampoo and conditioner the next morning and you'll really feel the difference!
6. Try Natural Products
Using drug store shampoos and conditioners or products that are not free of harsh chemicals can seriously dry out your scalp and the rest of your hair. Try using natural products for a change and see if it works!
7. Drink More Water!
I know I know, this one is totally not hair related in regards to products but hey! Water is key to making sure our body is getting what it needs. It's said that drinking at least 2 litres of water a day can help strengthen and increase hair growth so stay hydrated!
