What Else You Need to Know

Define & Seal is a cast-forming gel, which means the process matters as much as the product: apply to soaking wet hair (not damp), use the praying hands or glazing technique from roots to ends to coat each strand evenly, and do not touch curls while drying. To reduce moisture before applying and improve cast quality, plop or microplop with a cotton t-shirt or microfiber towel first — never a regular terry towel, which creates friction and disrupts curl pattern. For added volume, diffuse upside down or side to side. For extra shine once the cast is broken, apply a few drops of oil

How to Use

Apply to soaking wet hair using praying hands or glazing technique from roots to ends. For a better cast, first plop or microplop with a cotton t-shirt or microfiber towel to remove excess water. Allow to air-dry naturally or diffuse with a diffuser — hover diffuse to help the cast set. Once hair is completely dry, scrunch curls to break the cast.
